Frequently asked questions
Is an electronic signature legally valid in Israel?
Yes. Under the Electronic Signature Law, 5761-2001, a standard electronic signature is valid and enforceable for ordinary contracts — rental agreements, NDAs, and employment or service agreements. Signatura produces a standard electronic signature backed by an audit trail and a cryptographic seal as evidence of the signing process.
What is the audit trail?
Every view and signature is recorded with a timestamp, IP address, browser/device details, and verification events (OTP or biometric confirmation). This audit trail is the evidentiary basis for the signature's validity and is retained even after a document is deleted.
What is the cryptographic seal?
Once a document is fully signed, it's digitally sealed. Any change made to the file afterward is instantly detectable, which protects the integrity of the final signed document.
Where is my data stored?
Documents and account data are stored with EU-based infrastructure providers, with the database and file storage hosted in the EU (Frankfurt).
What devices can I sign on?
Any device with a browser — draw, type, or upload your signature. Nothing to install, and it works on mobile.
How do I get started?
Create an account, upload a PDF, add your recipients and signature fields, and send a secure signing link. Recipients sign from any device with no software to install.
